![]() ![]() I don't know of anyplace that sells the real D14SL-12. But they all have a misprint in the "specifications", which cite the model number D14S L-12, but all the rest of the specs are for the S M. The 600W PCIe adapters that are in the market now use twelve 12V pins and twenty ground pins (4x 6+2 PCIe), while 450W PCIe adapter use nine 12V pins and fifteen ground pins (3x 6+2 PCIe). Now, about the D14SM-12: several US locations sell this model. The CX650M uses a 120mm fan, while the CX750M employs a 140mm fan provided by Yate Loon. The SP850 feeds its 12-pin cable from two 8-pin connectors, which practically use 6-pin each. Watch out, besides the 600RPM sleeve bearing, they make a ball bearing model at 750RPM. Strong airflow and super-quiet operation speak for this 92mm axial fan with a bronze bearing. Yes, boys and girls, Yate Loon makes the big "250mm" fan, but YL correctly describes it as a 220mm. Which would you rather have: 47CFM at 28dBA, 25dBA, or 135CFM at 25.5dBA? Did anybody ever mention that big fans push air more quietly than small fans? If you run the 220mm at half speed, the noise level drops upwards (downwards?) of 18dBA (honest) and you still get 67.5CFM! That's why I now have two of these fans, with a third on the way. Installing the D12SL-12 and NF-P12 120mm fans on the radiator for our cooling tests yielded some slightly predictable, but interesting results. So, here's the info ( their specs) on their quiet sleeve fans: ![]() In any event, anyone familiar with watercooling is familiar with Petrastechshop. This info from, but you have to go thru some language download. It's just the YLs that I buy from Petras. I like lots of quiet CFMs Yes, boys and girls, Yate Loon makes the big '250mm' fan, but YL correctly describes it as a 220mm. Hell, I think overall Petra's is quite expensive I ordered all the gear for my w/c setup from Jab-Tech and it priced out to approximately 10-15% cheaper overall as compared to Petras. I'm trying to pass on friendly advice, not market the place. There are numerous other threads on XS detailing what I'm talking about. It seems that with Petras you always get genuine YL, with others it can be a lottery. Not that he necessarily is the least biased, but he has an extremely good reputation at XS and his reports are also corroborated with the photos of many fans bought from Petras versus those failing from Jab-Tech and other places. The fan is very affordable, yet it has many features that make it an excellent choice for those who want quiet, efficient, and reliable cooling for their PCs. The reason I keep saying this is because Alex (who you can call yourself, his number is on Petra's site) has verified that after all these reports (like I posted above) on XS about inconsistent YLs that Petra's is the only US reseller that buys straight from the YL factory. I work for an independent global adviser focused solely on hedge funds in CT. I also bought a yate loon ball bearing fan. I have one in my PSU (stock fan) and it now clicks. Have any of you experienced any similar issues with Yate Loons having a short life span? I know they're fairly cheap.so maybe this is a situation of "You get what you pay for" with regards to lifespan. I have found yate loon ball bearings to be of lesser quality. The fan itself comes with a standard 3-pin connector. The Yate Loon D12SL-12 are a remarkably nice looking and well constructed fan. I also have Scythe and Panaflo fans in my case, both which have been running for just as long as the Yate Loons (if not longer), but neither have exhibited any problems thus far. 2 reviews Yate Loon 120mm Fan High Speed (D12SH-12)Reviews Other Computer Components: Average: 4.4 High: 5. Yate Loon D12SL-12 120mm Case Fan Review Packaging and A Closer Look. Each time, a quick diagnosis reveals that this hum is coming from one of my Yate Loon fans I'm not sure of the exact cause, but putting a slight amount of pressure on the middle/motor section of the fan silences the hum (it is VERY audible from anywhere in my room otherwise), so maybe it's the motor going? So far I've had to replace an intake fan and both fans on my radiator (actually the 2nd one on my rad is silenced by a strategicly placed 12V battery which silences the hum until I order another Scythe S-Flex fan). ![]() It seems as though every few months, I'll get this horrible humming noise coming from my case. Specifications: Model: D12SL-12 Dimensions:120x120x25mm Rated Voltage: 12 Volts Operation Voltage: 6.513. These fans are perfect companion to a Mountain Mods case. Over the course of the past year or so, I've bought half dozen or so Yate Loon fans (D12SL I believe). Spinning at a slow 1350 rpms out of the box the fans specs boast one of the quietest yet highest air flow experiences you can have with a case fan. ![]()
